That’s the advantage of being low on the water. I blend in as part of the landscape. I move slowly, breathing gently, disarming the animals with my calm.
Here, a great blue heron moves through a field of pickerelweeds, completely focused on it's next meal. There’s a softness to the scene, but underneath it is something sharper. This is what nature looks like. Beautiful life and death existing in the same breath.
