For our 10th wedding anniversary my wife, and I went on an Antarctic cruise. One of the activities we did was kayaking and paddling around the awesome bays the ship would go to. I captured this stunning photograph by stretching over the front of our kayak while she slowly turned us into position. With my camera just about on the water, I snagged this shot. 


Why are icebergs blue? 

It has to do with compression. As snow falls and accumulates, the weight begins to compress the previous snow and becomes glacial ice.
